Krissy Pozatek, MSW specializes in coaching parents who have a child with Mental Health or Emotional Struggles.
Parenting a child with mental health struggles has an added layer of complexity and nuance. For parents to feel effective they need to have more specialized skills. Would you like to be able to slow down, examine your parenting patterns and develop new skills?
Parallel Process teaches parents how to embody their parental authority which enables parents to set safe boundaries while also emotionally attuning to their child.
The Parallel Process Curriculum allows parents to understand underlying enmeshment that is likely contributing to the stuck patterns in the parent-child relationship. This deeper self-reflection while also learning new skills helps parents to feel more confident to re-write their parent-child script. (ages 11-25)
The Brave Parenting Curriculum helps parents to build these skills for younger children to help promote their child’s emotional health and resiliency and hopefully allow for smoother teenage years. (ages 3-18)
The Parallel Process
“Growing alongside your adolescent or young adult child in treatment.”
Brave Parenting
“A Buddhist-inspired guide to raising
resilient children.”
Brave Teaching
“Bringing emotional-resiliency skills from the wilderness to the classroom.”
Testimonials
“Krissy’s lighthearted, humorous, gentle, and especially non-judgmental nature never failed to lift our spirits. I always appreciated her many stories and her use of metaphors to simply illustrate concepts which she felt we needed to deeply understand.”
“After we successfully navigated A’s 18th birthday at his program, his growth trajectory was pretty steady. His therapist now refers to him as the “poster student.” The coaching we I received from you really helped us transform our parenting.”
